Papi Intimates Fashion Show
I promised to update once I went to some of the Ocean Drive fashion week events, so voila! I went to the Papi Intimates fashion show with two of my buddies, Nani and Curt. It was held at the hotel Victor and I must say, I like that hotel. There were mostly hot gay guys there, and because my friend Nani is such a boyish looking girl, she was the belle of the ball because they didn’t know she was a girl!!! LMAO….not only is she a girl, but a girl who likes girls, so they were TOTALLY barking up the wrong tree….what a night……I had fun….waited in line forever because Nani was late, but we made it in and had a groovy time, dancing and laughing at the drunk folks who couldn’t hold a rhythm if their mama was Beyonce and their daddy was James Brown. Shame shame, I tell ya!
I may be going to another event tomorrow, I’ll have to see how I feel after the game and everything.

SEASON PREMIERES GALORE: My Favorites
HOUSE:
House’s season premiere….I’d give it a 8/10. I really miss the old team, but House’s wit and refusal to get a new one was very entertaining. The fight with Wilson was particularly funny, with the two battling with a “kidnap” plot. The case itself was mediocre, because it wasn’t that it was so hard to figure out, they just had the wrong chick that they were diagnosing. House got lucky. Can’t wait to see what happens next! I think that Cameron and Chase will come back, but I’m not so sure about Foreman. I HOPE so, but hey, ya never know.
UGLY BETTY:
What a premiere! I loved it, I give it a 10/10. Imagine my surprise when I saw Santos alive with a bandage wrapped around his chest in Hilda’s room. I was shocked, but happy. Then, I cracked up at the new fat Amanda! What a biotch, but I love her. Tight satin isn’t the most flattering thing to wear with weight gain, lemme tell ya! Very interesting storyline with Wilhelmina and the wife as well. Why oh why is Betty being so passive about Henry! Don’t bury your love for him girl, get out there and make it happen! especially with the knowledge that his gf is a hoe-bag. Jeez! But I gotta tell ya, I CRIED this episode. I mean, how heartbreaking was that scene when Betty walked into Hilda’s room? OMG…
CSI
Sara!!! Seriously, I was on the edge of my seat trying to find out what happened…..I loved the commercials leading up to the premiere, it was so riveting! I give the episode an 8/10. What a sick bastard that miniature doll killer is. Seriously. Not everyone who wasn’t loved as a kid or who’s gone through things and stuff turns out to be a nutcase! Get a grip. I liked how her plan to have Sara drown under the car actually helped her escape. But I would have passed out with the walk ahead of her after escape….especially when she stood on top of that mountain and saw that there was nothing in sight for her to head towards. Do you know how friggin hot it is in Vegas? Good grief. Almost had a HEART ATTACK when they found that guy in the desert! My freaking heart is still pounding, I was sure that poor Sara had literally bit the dust. Can’t scare me like this, CSI! She was such a survivor, evidence by the flashbacks of what was going on when she was kidnapped. It’s so nice that the first face she sees is her boo’s. Awww!

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY
It is POURING outside, casting a dreary spell over everyone. I’m always more melancholy when it rains, if I have to be out in it. I love storms when I’m at home, especially at bed time, but having to do day-to-day things in a downpour? BLAH! So, to perk myself up, I’m dedicating this post to the cutest rain gear I can find…what are some of your favorites?
Designer Things
Everyone who knows me knows my heart skips a little faster when I receive something designer. What joy! Well, went shopping with Nelly this weekend and while she got really cute Coach sunglasses and a bangle, I got a pretty little handbag shaped charm. How I heart it

This week is Ocean Drive’s fashion week here in Miami. Being the socialte-in-training I am, of course I shall be in attendance at some shindigs and will post pictures as soon as I get them! I have school and work that gets in the way of my social life for going to these things, and since I left my car back at home, it is a tad inconvenient. Oh well, I’ll survive. Toodles

Open Call
Secured my dream internship at one of the world’s top modeling agencies. Sweet, right? Well, tomorrow I’ll be there when they have their open calls, and let’s just say, I can not WAIT for that one! lol….I know from going with my friend this summer that some RANDOM people think they can be models. If you’re a guy who’s 5′5, guess what? NOT going to be a model. If you’re an out of shape, 5′2 woman, guess what? NOT going to be a model. So I can not wait to see the crazies who come out. I’ll keep you updated on the internship of my dreams

Harry Potter
It is with a sense of fulfillment but incredible sadness that I started and finished the 7th part of the Harry Potter series today. Years, 10 to be exact, have gone into knowing these characters, learning to love them and their desires/weaknesses/pains/problems, so it is tantamount to saying a final farewell to a very dear friend. Closing the end cover to the epic novel, I couldn’t help but muse on my own writing. Will I ever achieve anywhere near the dedication to detail and understanding of character that J.K. has shown? What’s the point of writing if it will never be masterpiece material? Is my creativity even enough?
Reading through the novels, I cried, laughed on most pages with the quick wit, cared for the characters as real people and knew them well. Did I have the ability to show such depth in my pieces? It’s a hard pill to swallow as a writer to write, then read others’ writings and know that yours doesn’t compare in the slightest.
It did spark the desire in me to grow, to spin out creativity, to pay more attention to detail. All may not be lost. But I can’t help feeling completely frazzled and like I am trying to take on something of gargantuan proportions.
The thing about living in the year 2007 and writing is that nothing seems unique anymore. There are basically no ideas that I can come up with that haven’t been done before, done well, and done to death to become a cliché. As if it isn’t already tough enough to be a creative good writer, now there is the fact that nothing you write will be a fresh idea.
This series and other writings I have read do give me the notion to be a better writer, but is there indeed anything left to write?
